First a little history behind this Willys. My grandpa bought this about 13 years or more ago to build his girlfriend a "pretty" jeep that she could cruise around in. My dad did all the body work and paint was the only thing that needed to be done when my grandpa decided to put it on the backburner and store it at a friend's house.

Fast forward to last year, my grandpa and girlfriend buy a newer XJ and decide to sell the Jeepster. A year went past and it still hadn't been sold. One day when my dad and I were at his house looking at his new project the Jeepster came up and he was kind of wanting to keep it within the family. Right then and there I knew I had buy it from him, so we made a deal and now here is my new project!

I'm building it for the street and the sand mainly but will still have the capabilities of going in the woods and bathing in mud.

-Turbo 400 trans
-2.5" custom exhaust

-35x12.5 BFGoodrich All-Terrains
-15x10 chrome wheels

NICE look good bro. u said dana 44's front and rear have u thought of the dana 60 and gm 14 bolt? and what engine are you running there? the 360? lol.

i had an xj once and i loved that jeep. my plans was stokeing and boring out to a 4.6 and have a dana 44 in the front and a ford 9" in the rear.

Well my dad and I have a bunch of dana 44s laying around and I don't want to go that big. A Chevy 454 is going in it.

I will get lots of pictures of the build and wheeling, don't worry.

Picked up a full Hardtop for free yesterday, just needs minor rust repair and to be painted. It even comes with the headliner and other pieces that are non existent on pretty much every hardtop.

yea and whats up with those front shackle mounts? is that stock, if not, plz fix it and lift it right.

longer wheelbase too, my buddies tj could pop wheelies in 4lo rolling on 33s and it only had the 4.0L.... 4.56 gears didnt hurt either.

Finally got it off the trailer today and into the garage so I can start working on it. I spent the day cleaning it out and putting the extra parts in storage.














Also the hardtop I got for free, finally took some pictures of it.
