lol thanks for all the comments. I can't drift it, unfortunately its an auto so no drifting...but great launches at the track Actually because its so hard to find a 6 speed plus they were an average of almost 6-8K more than mine and I got a sweet deal on mine i couldn't pass up.

Dv8: I actually am going to be ordering a CF Vented hood and Modellista Designs Type 3 front end to open my intercooler up more, its starving since about maybe half the core is really exposed. I have a picture of it wingless but it just wasn't my cup of tea, i love the RMM wing

Its BPU+++, all basic bolt ons for right now...gonna try and get close to the record holders for fastest on stock twins which is somewhere around 10.8 (if not faster) all boost, but i got a good bit of work ahead of me.

Where in MD you at? I actually go out there for any racing, typically Severna Park/Ritchie Hwy area through Annapolis.

That's pretty close to my area....I'm actually in Annapolis, right by Historic Downtown.

Nah BPU will only put you around 440whp highest, but you can hit 500 crank HP... i personally should be in the 400-420 WHP range...once you start throwing headwork, cams, ecu, and a couple more bolt ons, it is possible. I think the highest on stock twins is around 550whp right now, but he's done damn near every bolt on offered to a supra.

The stock USDM 2j turbos are great. I want a set for my car, but there are many other things I need to spend money on right now.

500 wheel reguardless of setup is rather easily achieved with 2j's, single turbine, engine management, fuel system, boost controller, intake and exhaust and your there (and other supporting mods, IE CLUTCH FROM HELL%@#!), or higher. Add head work to the mess and things get nutty.

Oh yea the 2jz is a marvel along stock engines...I am actually lookin at a full valvetrain, headwork and cams to make things interesting. Only thing is i won't need a clutch as mine is an auto. Good side: Great for launching and saved myself 6-8 grand on buying price. Bad side: Kinda takes away a little from the fun of drivin the car, but I get over it...plus auto tranny's are reliable up to close to 500 whp, so once i hit in those ranges (I.E. - very shortly after the headwork), its time for a Boostlogic Trans w/ 3800 stall...then i'll be gettin kicked off the track for no cage

The motor truly is. But, I personally like the 1j more, for the sound and for the response. If I ever have an excess amount of money I'd like to pick up the vvti model and stuff it into a JZX90 or JZX81. Perhaps one day.

I dont really think it'd be saving 6-8 g's buying an auto, not for me anyways. A getrag 6 speed will run you that alone if you ever wanted to swap. But if you ever wanted to do a conversion I'd suggest latching onto a healthy jza70 Supra 5 speed (or Soarer) and just swap that in.

If you do want to keep the auto... I must stress proper cooling. Too many people have them explode simply from not having a good cooler. I wouldnt want to risk anything, especially with a Boostlogic unit.

And I guess you don't want to drift battle do you.

Lol drift battle unfortunately isn't in my suit...i like going straight, twisties don't really do it for me so much. If i was to swap a getrag into my car, it'd balance out to be the same price as if i bought one that was a 6 speed but i spent close to 8 months trying to find one of these cars so i had to jump on it when i could. most 6 speeds with decent miles are runnin 28k and up for a 94-96, they get even higher with the 97-98's because of the rarity. You're dead on with the cooling statements about the trans, alot of places you buy the trans from include a B&M Cooler kit with it so its not a short lived trans.
