I need advise on what kind of crotch rocket to get!

Im thinking about getting a crotch rocket, but not looking forward to spend over 5K at least not now, but a hayabusa will be nice later on. okay what kind of bike that is reliable, cheap not too cheap, looks good, not slow. Im completey in the dark when it comes to motorcyles, but I have driven them before back in philippines. so I do know how to drive them very well. so since honda are not the most expensive na d not the cheapest but yer very reliable, what is the honda version for motorcycles? and no I dont want to drive a harley. not that old yet. Im only 27. lol everyones 2 cent will be helpfull. so far I been liking the yamahas

Get a 2002 Suzuki Katana 750. They go for around 3k for a good one. And they are pretty quick, and you can mod them for fairly cheap

Good luck, the girl across teh street was selling hers for 3k, and it only had 9,800 miles on it

        1. You will kill yourself on a hayabusa if you get that as a first bike.
        2. Buy something small if your still learning and upgrade to a 600+ later.
        3. Easier to learn the dynamics on a low powered crappy bike rather than a newer bike that will cost more when dropped.

If it's your first bike, get a Ninja. The 2008 models look GREAT and they're not too expensive. Next summer, get a Triumph.... I'm eventually goign to get another Triumph Daytona.

well........a lot of newer bikes are going to be pretty "reliable"

Keep in mind that these little engines are made to push astronomical RPM's and as a result, the engine life will be considerably shorter than that of a larger displacement engine.

So, the lower the miles, the more chance that you'll get a more reliable bike, BUT there are definite exceptions.

The GS500 has an aircooled 499cc 2 Cylinder. It's ultra reliable and makes good power....not to mention, it looks like heaven.

lower displacement doesn't necessarily mean that the bike will make it either more appropriate or even appealing for a beginner.

Weight should be the focus, as well as preferred riding style.

Kawasaki Ninjas are a nice bike. my first was a 98 600 that cost me 2200.

and my current is a 03 ZX636R, which i LOVE!

so yea, both were trouble free, and rode nice. the only complaint i had with the 98 is that the seat sucks. a corbin seat is like 150, and is supposed to make the ride more comfortable. the 03 is fuel injected and is a blast to ride.....
                          good luck in your search
