well even if it did have the 4cyl...you can always put the 6cy in there. They do last very well...and the ride quality...superb!

they never made a 4cyl lexus. period. the ES uses the same 1mz-fe v6 and many other toyotas as above mentioned.
and as far as a lexus being a rebadged toyota, only one lexus model uses the same body, the LX SUV, and its a badged toyota landcruser. all other models have different bodies. although, in japan, there is no lexus line, so all the cars are sold as toyotas.

too bad your not getting the ES. they are a really sweet riding car, and if the motor blew up, it was most likely oil sludge build up that killed it....happend when the oil wasnt changed regularly, and last year if you brought your lexus RX or ES to the dealer and it had a sludge problem, lexus would give you a new motor and install it for free.....<(sucky job, the flat rate time it paid was terrible, lol)

It's a V6 Camry. 3.0L (which is what the 300 means... Toyotas are good about that, just like Hondas... well, Acuras.)
The car IS a Camry. Minor appearance changes, a few more gadgets, a fancier interior... mechanically, it's a Camry. No more, no less.
