    96 toyota rav4

My accord died a few months ago and I've been looking for another one but can't find anything clean. I looked at a rav4 today and have a question for everyone.

I know its not a cb7 and not even a honda but I have a quick question for everyone. When I revv the car, the whole engine block moves. Wat does that mean? My personal guess would be that the motor mounts need to be tighten.

Also, How much would it sell for? Its a 96 Rav4, wit about 83,000 miles. Car is clean and no accidents.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Be more specific, how much does it move and at what RPM. Best if you have video of it. And I would chose something else besides the 1st generation Rav4, like a Honda CR-V and thats coming from someone that likes/knows both Toyota and Honda equally.

I not a big fan of the 1st gen rav 4 but im getting a good deal on it. What's your experince with a rav4 that makes you say that I shouldnt get the rav4? Any info is greatly helpful right now.

Sorry but I dont have a video of it. I dont really even know how to describe it. the engine tilts kinda like a angle
(back of car \ front of car)
\ = the engine when it revvs. i revved it up to 2-3,000rpm. Is that normal?

Also, does anyone know any good forums and sites for a rav4?

          http://rav4world.com/forums/index.php

          and

          http://www.toyotanation.com

are two good forums for the Rav4.

Not sure which trim level you are looking at but I would check to see that the differential is in operational order if applicable.

No video makes it harder to diagnose but check the mounts, any liquids? Do they look worn? At 2-3k RPM, movement should be minimal.

          Good luck on your preference.

I recently aquired a 2008 Rav as the lease payments are rather minimal. Its alright to drive every day. I borrowed my friends 1st gen for kicks after I got mine, it just wasnt for me. Too small, too gutless, but an alright run-around to say the least.
