lol, nice. Its probly just cuz theres less stuff like clocks and radio to destract you from what you should be doing in a car..driving.
And thank god. I'm almost scared to buy a new car because I don't want it to tell me I just missed my turn, my coffee is ready, I forgot to brush my teeth, my oxygen sensor is bad and what band is playing the song on the radio and then have it apply the brakes automatically because I got too close to another car.

First off, when did they even drop the DX in the first place?
Honda's website says $15,010 for a sedan w/ manual, and $14,810 for the coupe ($1,950 cheaper than the LX in each case). I agree that this is overpriced for what you get, even if it does have Honda's reputation backing it. I think it should be about $500-750 cheaper, but then again, Civics in general are somewhat pricey IMO.
By the way, for that extra $1,950 for the LX, you get:
Interior:
• Air Conditioning with Air-Filtration System
• Power Door Locks with Auto-Lock Feature
• Cruise Control
• 160-Watt AM/FM/CD Audio System with 6 Speakers
• MP3/Windows Media® Audio (WMA) Playback Capability
• Speed-Sensitive Volume Control (SVC)
• MP3/Auxiliary Input Jack
• Steering Wheel-Mounted Controls
• Satin-Finish Door-Handle Pulls
• Adjustable Head Restraints
• Center Console with Sliding Armrest and Storage Compartment
• Passenger-Side Walk-In Feature (coupe only)
• Map Lights
• Floor Mats
Exterior:
• Security System with Remote Entry
• Body-Colored Power Side Mirrors
• Body-Colored Door Handles
• 16" Wheels with Full Covers (vs. 15" on the DX)
On a side note, since when could you get leather seats in a Civic (saw it on Honda's site when I was getting this info)???

As far as I know they dropped the dx since like 1990???? Its called standard. Lower than DX

Funny thing is, they'll do all but two of those (that I know of). And don't worry, I'm sure someone's working on taking care of those.
its basically for the tuner scene. they know that if its bought then a stereo will go in there any way. AC woulda been ripped out for an extra 1.5 hp gain. basically the car would get an overhaul anyway so why not save them some trouble.
hmmm I guess this would make a great weekend race project car.

no A/C in AZ NO WAY, i'd die. It got up to 120 degrees last summer. I can't take just blowing air, or whatever it does. If you live in AZ you GOTTA have A/C

I wish my accord was like that actually... 5spd, no A/C (I never use it, my friends get so pissed when riding with me), power locks are broken on one side of the car, windows are OKAY... but I like the basic stuff, you know?
