    Alot of talk goes nowhere on a build. How many of YOU guys will actually BUILD any of these motors to even get to these HP #'s most of you are debating over?

    Anything anyone builds can go anywhere if they do it right and put it together right, it all comes down to money in the end.

    So let this guy do his build and report back his findings, see how reliable it is for the power he makes. Good luck and hopefully you complete your project, by doing that you have already surpassed many on this forum that talk alot and never complete anything.

      ^^^ Sunroof was dealer installed and the owner put black sealant on it to make sure it didn't leak, not sure what would be proper action to make this pretty.

        NOTE: I have built many before I even learned or knew of CB7tuner...before I even had a CB...I had a couple cars I modified.

        ( mainly Domestic vehicles...a couple of Imports here and there )

        ( did the work myself )...I do find myself NOT doing what I used to do now and days.

        MONEY is an issue...its always an issue ..especially when you have mouths to feed. ( Priority is a must )...building cars is a Hobby...which I haven't done in a while.

        Many do make plans..and MOST dont follow through with their future plans.

        Me personally....Id rather roll in a stock car ...then busting blood vessels to start...gather...prep..and complete a project in a small amount of time..>JUST to IMPRESS others. no thanks, I can care less of what others say about my stocker....its good on gas...and thats what matters AT THIS CURRENT MOMENT.

        I do have future plans for my F22A4....but its not in the near ...its more along the LATE 2008 early 2009 plans...right now...I have more important things to worry about.

        ^ thats just me! ...others feel otherwise.


        experience is not judged by age....its judged by WHAT you have done...what you have learned from your mistakes..and the mature decisions you make ...and what you learn and take in from more experienced people.

        ^ what I mean is....you could be 40 years old....and a 18 year old may know something MORE about a certain something than you...dont look down on that younger person just because he/she is younger than you....take in ..listen and learn.

        I have learned from MANY...Old and young. ( thats how you learn and gain to your knowledge )

              Yup...still working out plans for it within the next 6 months. One thing nice about this car is the fact it's a Georgia Car, very little rust.

                    I'm horrible at this.

                    Is that an actual Turbo Model?

                    It has the sawblades and fog lights, but anyone can install those things. Dealer installed sunroof also throws me off. I also don't know when they even started the whole targa roof option.

                        Well I must apologize, I gave some wrong info here...

                        The Correction...5m and 1j and 2j did not have this issue. It was the 7m...notorious for blowing the head gasket.

                        I had talked to old school techs at the dealership who worked on them back in the day after I talked to my bud who had a 7m...

                        This is what they informed me of.
                        (I had this info put in a text doc that I had to dig up)

                        They said it was an issue of improperly torqued head bolts, toyota changed the torque specs for the head bolts eventually
                        Nothing WRONG with the engine...just torque specs out.

                            The HG issues is a design flaw. Other than that, the 7M is actually very reliable. A guy I talk to at work has one. He rebuilt his motor, and upgraded the turbo. Its a nice red MK3. Not in as good of condition as say LIL Dcb7's but mechanically its top. SN2BH22(kenny) can vouch for it. We both saw it with the same set up 7 years ago at a meet.

                            my supra is not in good condition lol.

                                x2 shoulda seen yours before paint! I remember when you got those lol. Mine needs paint bad! Friggin sittin in the girls garage for 2 years or so lol but it started up when we put the battery to it just not everything was in tip top shape. Oh well got it pretty cheap now I need to work on it.
