thats my error.... i was saying the advantage of the SR20 was that it was lighter. i smooshed two sentences together

the CA18(DET) is like 80-150lbs heavier (not much)

put one in a 89' coupe, i like em'. i dont even remember why they stopped making them...

      * damn i got to correct myself again.... they stopped making them because they costed more to make due to the iron block, and emissions around early ninetys put a strangle hold on it. only reason they brought out the aluminum SR series. however the CA18 is practically bulletproof.

Haha no worries man. I totally agree, compared to the SR, the CA is bulletproof. Its just sad they havnt got much of an aftermarket support.

theres a US model nissan that came out with a CA18de SOHC version.... the crappy version, forgot what it came on but my buddies stole some of his parts off of it.

Believe it or not the RB's had very similar parts, at least head wise they where almost identical, cept for the whole 2 cylinders less thing parts of the valvetrain, and correct me if im wrong but i think the same bore.... so im told

You can tell that it needs to be washed now.
