    Coming soon...Project Blue Dragon

I will be acquiring "the brown dragon" soon...and will be doing light work on her...buddy of mine's done a little swap in her that I helped with. I'll be changing the color (after a while) to blue and thus...the blue dragon title.

When I get the car to my house I'll take some pics of the progress of this project to date.

    huh SUPRAH!?

be a jerk and put a 1J in it.

Since it's an MK2, it will be an Ugly Duckling in the 1J family

HA HA...I was wondering if you'd recognize it, saw your sig a while ago...I think there is someone on the forum that also has a mkII in their sig...figured y'all would say something.

I helped my buddy with the swap that's in it...already got something in there I like more than 1J or 2J...but yeah...I could do that HA HA

what it's got now is lighter...more power...bad ass strong internals stock...heh heh

He doesn't have room for it and he's got a bike so...he's trying to make some room...luckily for me he's a good friend so I'm getting a good deal.

I'm driving to Austin tuesday to get it...have to rent a truck from enterprise...borrow my girls parents trailer. Once I get it here I'll give all the dirty details of it and post some pics

HA HA HA...so much for the surprise

          Mad props to NAiL05!

That's exactly what she's got ...I honestly don't have the extra cash to buy this car...but I can NOT pass it up...I'll just eat some ramen for a while...beg a little...it's worth it....so very very worth it!

          Can't remember what exactly year model the uz is...but I'm thinking it's either 93..or 95...I can't recall.

She's got a bad fuel return line right now...a new one is out of the question...no one has 'em, my bud's already tried to get one (he still works at the yota dealership)

A local wrecking yard has an sc400 (smashed front...the ENGINE IS UNTOUCHED!!)...If I had the extra extra cash I'd just buy the whole car but...more likely I'll see if I can't get the return line.

But yeah...once I get 'er down here I'll post specs and pics so beyond stoked about this...

Well the props were to NAiL05 for guessing what's IN the car now

I'm not big on inline 6's as a swap in engine, NAiL05 and I seem to share opinions.

However...If I were to keep it a pure supra I would do something different...DEFINITELY a later model supra engine...but that's not my build ideology

Too tired to post pics...haven't taken any either...will do tomorrow...or sometime

              no info till pics

just put a pile of bricks in there.......maybe then that car will finally get you nowhere.

Celica-Supras look real cool though. Very Muscle Car Nouveau, with Japanese Flare.

                  ??? riiight
car gets around just fine...doesn't like the rain (kicks to the right) but dry weather is awesome!

                  TO THE POINT
I'm thinking my first upgrade needs to be rim/tire combo...this thing can't hang in the rain at all.

                  It has
215 60 14's on it right now and it's about 5mph off (shows me going 5mph faster than I am)

Most higher power cars have 17's to 19's...and of course...much wider as well...this car needs wider tires and I don't think the 14" rims that are on it will do...hell my 240sx had 15's...NEED AN UPGRADE

I did a quick look and found vett's have anywhere from
                  245/45 17 (base fronts) to
                  325/30 19 (zo6 rears) ...

                  their mid model is
                  245/40 18 front and
                  285/35 19 rear

                  the audi a6 quattro has
                  245/40 18 front
                  255/35 19 rear

the bmw m3 (and z3 roadster) have
                  225/45 18 front
                  255/40 18 rear

I did some calculating with www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html,
255 35 19 is pretty damn close to actual speed as well.

                  more reserved though
255 40 18 is pretty accurate as well

                  going with 17's
285 40 17 is nice and wide and the speedo is accurate but DAMN wide

so maybe anything over 255 or 265 (or higher) 40 sidewall and 17 (or 18) rim

I know the 17's will be cheaper (tire and wheels) most likely, and easier for a shop to install on one piece rims...taller sidewall...tire rack has some from 152-207 a piece...ouch...what do y'all think about the sizing?

                  I didn't find any 18" tires for under 240 a pop

I would be doing the same size all around...that way I can do rotates easily...plus I don't much see the point in having different front tire size if I'm going with 17 or 18...if I had 19's on the rear I would...but I'm wanting to keep the tires a little smaller than 19

I'm not big on LOW profile look...I like to see some sidewall...just...not as much as my honda or the 240 had...a 255 40 17 or 18 is kinda nice.

The vette I saw had 285 35 19 on the rear...too low profile for my taste...plus I don't have tire machine and I'd rather a shop not hate to see me coming for new tires to be put on...and I'd like my rims to stay nice

Other then that (and fully adjustable suspension) I can't think of any "quick" fix to make this thing more stable on wet curvy roads...aside from what I do now when I drive 'er...drive grandma slow...

or should I say to hell with speedo accuracy and get taller rim and tires all together...I was trying to get the speedo accurate...but I think she needs taller overall and just deal with the speedo...I don't plan on lowering this car really...sits pretty low as is.

                  maybe 255 45 17 's...hmmm
