Talk about extreme tucking. Those Japanese people are crazy with what they come up with in terms of high end trend. But I hear van conversions and customizing has been all the rage for a while in the land of the rising sun , I remember reading an article in an issue of Automobile Magazine a couple years ago ( in 1997 I used to have a subscription up until 2001).

They did some really amazing work with the Chevy Asto Van.

My man has the full JDM Lexus conversion with the ultra 133t RHD!!! Man those things are hot. Must be heavy as hell, but they aren't racecars!

I PMed Chris about the Skyline a while back, hoping to get some importation tips. No reply, I don't think.

when it comes down to it, having an importer license really helps. if i'm not mistaken, either chris or his father has one, as they run a business around imports.

my friend's father runs an import business, albeit for art, mainly out of the continent of africa... and he runs into a lot of hassle! i can only imagine that it's even more of a hassle with cars and car parts.

Yeah, I guess so. Cars have to meet emissions and safety standards. My reason for giving up on the Skyline import idea is that you need crash test data. Nissan MIGHT be able to provide that for me, but I think I would need to have an American standard crash test done... which means I would need to have one crashed before I could legalize it! I'll probably just pay Motorex to do it somewhere down the line... Or wait till the R32 is 25 years old and import it as a classic car... I believe the restrictions are MUCH less in that case. Before I die, I WILL have an R32 or an R34... No R33, and no USDM 2008 Skyline...
