    The project of GODs

me and my friend jdmsilvercb7 (cb7tuner.com)/jdmgreencd5(cd5tuner.com) were going to swap an h23 head onto an f22b2 block, until the opprotunity of a life time came.

we recently found a completely stripped vanagon aka vw bus from the 1960's for cheap or possibly free, thing is it has to motor, tranny, computer, NOTHING but paint, seats, wheels, headlights (full shell). the shell is in VERY good condition, nearly perfect, except for the driver seat bench.

    so heres the idea

what do you think the possibilities are of taking the shell of the originally 93hp, 101tq 4spd manual 1960's vanagon, and giving it a full accord swap? This would be done over time and at our leisure, but we were thinking of pulling the motor, tranny, ecu, pedals, electrical, everything from a junkyard accord, and swapping it into the shell

    + = / ?

Ehhhh. I think the fab work wouldn't be worth the end result.

its not meant to be fast by any means, if it can get to 55, wed be more than satisfied, this van would get the essentials... couch, microwave, all around shag rug, tv, xbox, mad window tint, full sound system, ect...

Dont pop an f20c in there... you'll need torque to move the van. Some people put porsche engines in there. a VW diesel would be pretty sweet to put in there. Or a chevy 454, if you want to be hard core

Leave it RWD. Drop an F22A-something-or-other in the rear with custom axles and suspension. It would certainly be one of a kind. Imagine the looks on VW fanatics' faces when they heard the thing pulling up at a VW meet.

a stock F22 in the rear should do the trick.

Would it be worth it in the end? Thats for the end user to agree. IMO better off going with the porsche motor since its a common swap for those things. But since your not looking for quickness go for it.

Suby engine is the only way to go for a VW.

                    we're currently accepting donations

this will be hopefully done on an extreme budget, nothing really "performance" is really necessary. If it can run off a stock junkyard f22a1 w/ 200k miles, then its all we're looking for...

sadly this might be one of the fastest VW's yet

I think...that drivetrain...weld up some support mounts make it ( FR )...you'd have a pretty quick VW bus!

but thats way out of the budget!
92 LX. A6 with GUDE bullfrog Cam. M2S4 transmission..Gutted H23 intake mani. The rest you will just have to find out!

Porsche Boxer motors > subie boxer motors. twin turbo flat 6 vs single turbo flat 4. Thats just my opinion but it would be a lot cheaper and make more power than the stock one.
