to Cb7 or to not cb7

my cb7 is really aging. i got my project car drivable and im thinking about sellin the cb. i been building basicly a h22 type s beefed up. and been lookin over the car, id have to do auto to manual conversion, upgrade brakes (rear is in poor shape, front is warped) and fix rust b4 id be happy. im thinking about putting my h22 in my 99 ek coupe and w/ a h 2 b w/ a gsr tranny.

i know everyone loves their cb7, but what u all think? time to move to a newer chassis (at least for me).

Whatever you think is best. Your asking a forum who mostly own cb7 so you just might get a biased response.

Buy a normal h22 trans and throw in the obx lsd. IT has gotten good results just needs some overtorquing. There is a writeup on it on HT.

Hmotorsonline. Any engine distributor. Hmotors quoted me 1g for just the transmission only m2b4. If that fails you can look for an h23 trans. Its gearing is pretty close to h22a. Just a lil more broader.

thanks for the ideas. just im in bfe. i havent seen a prelude in a junkyard ever and rarely on the road. im probably only accord on 18" rims within like 30miles. and will be only one w/ a swap unless someone has been hiding very very well.

im kinda thinking f22b dohc tranny or h23a1 w/ f22b1 final gear would be nice trannys. but does a h22a4 tranny work in a cb7 chassis? i found a low mile for 300

The Base model works. The SH does not. That one needs some modification and is extra weight.

not if you enjoy quick acceleration, people with stock h22's with h2b are pulling mid 13's easy. do the math
