ask a stupid question. that is such an obvious answer. Skyline GT-R rules and owns all. RB26DETT FTMFW

Its a type M so it does NOT have the rb26dett. I would take the Evo.

fool. ask another silly question. NSX. sexier. faster. what else do you need?

[QUTOE=Nail05]its a type M so it doesnt have the rb26dett[/QUOTE]

its still a skyline. lol. but i hope its not that new one with the twin turbo V8 they're making. if it is Evo X then. no skyline should ever have a V anything in it.

It might still be a skyline but a shitty one. I dont really like the rwd platform skylines unless its planned to be used for drifting...An evo IV would be quick since it is packing the infamous 4g63 plus its light as hell with awd. They are really easy to mod also.

very true indeed man. but id rather look in my yard and see a skyline sitting out there tho. but it would be easier to mod an Evo tho. money and parts would be all over the place.

plus if i wreck my Evo i can swap the parts into my CB7 that would make a killer cb. AWD cb7. hmm......

Not to mention it's not an awd....

Ignorance ISNT BLISS. You want a shitty one, go drive a GTE. Wait. It still has more power than and will out handle a Honda of similar age.... LOL.

Old Evolutions are like the old DSM's, when they get driven hard, they break. On the rare occasion you will come across a clean one, they still have problems. They have a pretty fragile driveline. But if your planning on utilizing a NEW EVO 8 drivetrain, all power to ya.

Skylines are great cars. Anyone who says they are over-rated, deserves to be shot. But, same as any car, you buy a neglected/beat one, it wont be any sort of joy to drive.

May I also remind you that the Type-M is REAR DRIVE. The GTR and GTS-4 are ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Finding a good GTR will cost you well over 20 grand. A nice GTS-4 can go from 10 grand up. The RB26 being a race bred motor, if not maintained religiously from day one, will start losing significant amounts of power at around the 110 000 kilimeter mark, and risks blowing, much like the rotary. The RB20/25 from the GTS-4, are rather toned down from the RB26 and maintain longevity, if maintained religiously.

These cars are NOT HONDAS. They need to be cared for properly. If they arent, one day when you turn up boost pressures you'll throw a rod or two..

Make sure you buy a GOOD CAR TO BEGIN WITH. You get what you pay for, and most importantly find an HONEST importer.

Buying an imported car is extremely sketchy buisness. Over half of the imported cars I have seen SHOULDNT BE ON THE ROAD. People buy up cheap shitboxes in Japan, ship them over and sell them for retarded amounts of money, not caring about buyers, their rep. etc etc.
