wow. after I saw this video, i started to think of buying a del sol i under estimated them they could be jdm monsters with a swap and a turbo
pros:
small
light
good looking
easy jdm parts

cons:
2 seater
small
barely and luggage compartment
slow factory tuned
REALY hard to fing one for sale
in my area

if you're thinking of buying another small Honda, i'd go with a CRX. they are lighter, cheaper to pick one up for, probably cheaper on insurance since their older, and in my opinion, look better. even an EG is fairly light and cheap. i dunno, thats just me.

if you're really serious about getting a Del Sol though, be prepared to pay a good amount of money for one in decent shape since you said their hard to find in your area. then jsut swap and boost.

des sols are heavy because of the suspension reinforcements for the targa top. people love to hate on these cars but they can be sleepers. there are some sick des sols out there and i think my buddy joe has one of the dopest around. i cant wait to post pics.

to bad you dont live around here cause i have a 94 del sol si for 1800 pretty clean on some jdm coil overs and stock alloys. i am selling it for my cousin but might keep it to make some money.

i no. there are probably 70 percent of cb7t. in the us i rarely see cb7t. here in vancouver i saw about 2 in the whole time i was a member herea popular car here is the civic and about 95 persent of the civics here are rice but at least we have jdm car dealers from those japanese youngsters that is planning to sell there car so they put in these jdm car dealers its heaven to me. i saw one del sol there but to expensive way to many mods

If you like them, definitely go for it.

I've had the chance to drive a japanese SiR and while they aren't the quickest cars in stock form, they are really fun to drive.

I think they have a lot of potential.

i agree its NOT everyones cup of tea but the ugliest?? i would roll the del sol over some other hondas or acuras for sure though...but it would atleast have to be slammed to the ground









in japan tagged a crx and in us still came with dohc vtec the little del slo gets my respect and the cool thing to is not everyone likes them

I drove a black Si back in the day and I thought it was pretty quick.

It wasn't as fun as the GSR with light mods I drove around the same time, but it was cool.
