You guys are going to hate me....or possibly love me? lol

Well, I bought a 1989 Dodge Colt Turbo for $500 with the 4G61t engine (made by Mitsubishi). I'm getting it delivered (free) on Saturday. Sadly I'm working Saturday night when it's being delivered so I won't be able to play around with it until Sunday . It's a 5 speed too so that's really good oh, and has a custom no key ignition (hidden arm and push button start, should be fun lol).

It comes with some extra goodies too, extra/new front tires, FMIC and some piping, 1G DSM BOV, new/bigger fuel pump.....that might be it, I forget but, it needs to all be installed lol. It does already have a 2.5" aftermarket turbo-back exhaust on it too. Here's a video of it from last winter when he first tried selling it -->> http://media.putfile.com/natescolt (stickers have now been taken off by him BTW :P)

Since then he's put it new floors and fixed most/the worst rust. So, a couple things and it's good to go. I can't wait to drive it . It doesn't have much power now, but the power to weight ratio is nice since it's so light weight

The only major problems are that the locks need to be replaced and it's a rare/not popular car so parts are insanely hard to find. These things do have a lot of potential though, just check out other videos on streetfire.net and stuff.

    Anyways, wish me luck!

That is different, I'm wondering how much power your setup puts down?

Not really sure power wise right, it's all stock though, I know it's not a lot of power lol. But, these things are super light weight, light than a civic hatchback. I'm hopefully going to throw on a FMIC (not intercooled as of now) and up the boost a little. Might need new paint, which I'll do myself , and of course I'm goin got have some fun with it lol. I just like the sound of a turbo .

Yes, it's different, and a pretty rare car with this engine & turbo. Not many people like them because they're like," Hey, it's a Dodge colt, gross..." lol. It should be fun. I'll be driving the CB7 still for awhile until I get this beast on the road

Welcome to the dark side! DSM Power

Anyways I'm guessing it's not pushing out nearly as much power as the 2.0 4G63's, but in a small light car like that it shouldn't really matter. IMO I still say convert to a 4G63T motor, and then you'd have a lot more fun!

                HAHA, thanks.

Yeah, it seems almost everyone does that swap (from reading in other forums) and I'm pretty sure the power is a lot less than the 2.0 lol. It would be nice in such a light little car to do the swap, we'll just have to wait and see .

It's just upping the displacement a bit . It'd be great, I bet you'd see at least a 25+hp gain!

But, if I got the turbo model then that would be swweeeet. There's a local shop that specializes in DSM, so I'm sure they'd have some engines laying around, its the cost of it all though that'll get me lol.

HAHA I friggen wish! I don't have that much money though :P. Right now I just got to get it looking and driving better lol. I was beating it up and down the road this morning....and, um....kinda busted the rad lol. Well, it was pretty much gone already lol. Needs new wheel bearings and have to fix up the interior a bit (missing some stuff ), passenger window it stuck up and have to replace the hatch and both door locks.

The turbo sounds nice, I love it. It came with a 2.5" turbo back exhaust on it installed by previous owner, but he took the exhaust silencer out of it so the car is SUPER loud, almost too loud lol.
