    Jet Cars

    Wish I had some pics, but today at the track they raced a jet funny car in an 1/8 mile because the track isent long enough to do a 1/4 mile for that car. I stood there at the starting line and I dont know if anyone here has experienced that, but the ground literallt shakes when the car moves. It's amazing and scared the shit out of me..lol. The car weighs 1500lbs, and according to the specs that were written it does the 1/4 just under 6 sec at over 200mph. For one run down the track it uses 30 gallons of fuel. Wait I'll google the car maybe it'll show up. It's from the U.S and it was called "Fire Power".

    And just think. It is powered by a J85 which is a little baby jet engine...

    Imagine what you could do with something larger...

          Jet cars are sick there was a jet engine crx at the Honda-tech meet in Danbury ct last month

                  As cool as piston engines can sound, there just is nothing quite like a gas turbine.

                  Especially the old ones that have a very high fuel to noise ratio...
