yeah i rock this ecu...more agressive fuel map and no speed govenor

I have alway referred to these 4th gen models as the Prelude S but like 5 minutes ago I was looking at a old Honda Tuning and it appears they have a 92 prelude S featured and they even call it a type-s Chicago isnt the only one.

And for your swap the f22 vtec are cheap and easy to swap. This guy I know had a boosted h23 prelude and blew it up. So he put in a f22 to get him by. He actually just sold the car with the f22 in it and made some money.

WOW. this whole thread has mostly been people telling this guy not to do the swap. he never asked if he should do it. he was just asking how hard it was to do.

we all know that the F22B1 isnt the best swap you can get for your car, but if you need a car to drive and can get it for cheap, it doesnt really matter!

now, for the original poster's question, it shouldnt really be that hard to pull off. im pretty sure that it'll just be a direct swap. if youre getting everything with it (tranny, ecu) that is. just be sure to get the proper ecu!

good luck with the project man.

well you can probably swap in some sort of f22a? in there without much issue. There are plenty around. This swap is still drop in, but then you have to run wires for vtec...why do that when u can just simply drop in an f22a from the 90-93 accord...I know they are at every junkyard I've been at
              Yeah, Preludes

thats very true. i completely forgot about running all the wires for vtec. that can be a pain, if you dont know what youre doing.

it probably would be a better idea to just go with the non vtec, but if he already has a good deal lined up with the F22B1, and doesnt mind spending a bit of extra time wiring vtec in, then i would say to just go through with the swap he already has planned.

                      Ok!

ok i just read alot of shit. but whats up every one. ok ok ok ok OMG. im going to try to say something. i dont know were to start.

ok here we go. i know that i have to wire up the v-tec to the accords ecu. we r getting all 4 1994 ex wheels and motor and tranny. but the tranny is an auto. were are going to sell the tranny. we bothe have a tranny 4 are prelude. i have the h23 and 2 extra cb7 trannys. he has his type s tranny he got rid of his h23 tranny.

ok guys and girls i have 2 cb7's i have a yellow 92 ex 2dr 5spd with 17 inch buddy club wheels and real JDM headlights. im trying to get my pics up on here but its hard and i need time. and a grey 90 2 dr 5 spd. go to www.myspace.com/spayellowaccord and u can als c some of my other cars.

                      but any way.

also we already have put an f22a1 in another prelude si. get this everything bolts up but it did not plug up. we used both wiring harnesses and the sides would not plug up and some other stuff. if im not mistaken i am 100% correct on this we did this about 2 or 3 years ago. this is when we just started getting into everything big.

how much are you getting the sohc vtec for? if it's anywhere from 500-800 then you'll be better off with a JDM "f22b" dohc-non vtec. i have driven both the h23 and f22b with a p14 ecu in both and it seems like the h23 has more torque but the f22b revs quicker after 5800 rpm.

oh no im talking cheap they want 4 the wheels and full motor and ecu. 300 bucks we probably can get it 4 200 bucks. so this is why we need to know how hard this swap will be.
