    G35 Coupe OR Acura TL

Im looking for a new car. Lets say that price doesnt matter in this decision because I will be buying the car crashed possibly salvaged title. I know this guy who bids on the crashed cars and sells them for a living, so getting them registered and inspected will be taken care of.

The two cars that I am looking into would be a 04+ G35 Coupe or a 05+ Acura TL.

I've read-up on both cars and the TL seems more reliable. On G35driver.com alot of people take their car's back to the dealer for some reason or another. The engine is known to drink oil, the interior is not all that, but the outside of the car is amazing. The TL is fast for a 4 door, nice interior and nice exterior.

Im not too much in-it for speed, but it has to be able to keep up with competition. I don't have crazy money to mod the car so it must be able to look good with a nice drop. Most likely I will have no warranty on the car, so I would have to be able to fix it.

Let me know you input on the decision of the 2 cars, share any experiences, tell me about stories you heard, things you witnessed, your opinions & thoughts.

i think both cars look good. i like the slight rake the tl offers and the styling ques of the g35. havent driven a tl but i have driven a 350z which is essentially a g35. the cars drives great and has pick up when needed. but i would imagine the tl would have that as well because of the v6 that it packs and the possibility of the awd(i think that came on the tl's, not sure). either way you go you'd be getting an awesome car, but it all boils down to personal preference in the end. id take the tl though, mainly cuz im a honda fan boy.

The TL's are actually very nice, and certainly more practical than the G35 coupe.

I also like the way the exhaust sounds better.

BUT. The G35 is a RWD coupe, and although maybe not ultimately faster, it probably handles better.

Also, with the pre 2007 TL, there was some criticism about the ride being a little bouncy, like the springs and shocks weren't matched.

The TL's have been known to run in the 13's with bolt ons, and some have gotten mid to low 14's out of them stock.

Really, it would come down to what you prefer, I would drive both and go from there.

heres my opinion........TL. the g35 is a sexy car but heavy. drove one with the 6spd in it and you can feel the heavyness. the TL is a wonderful car, A EVERYDAY CAR. so is the g35 but not for carrying people and shopping and shit. now getting a car from with a salvage title isnt easy.my hatch had it. if it is already fixed then you will have to produced paper work with all the reciepts for that vehicle. documentation is a given here. like what owequitit said "Really, it would come down to what you prefer, I would drive both and go from there". TL ALL THE WAY

Great choices but i would go for the TL hands down. Although its a newer can its fairly easy to maintain.

When you look at a TL and look at a G35 stock, the G35 is alot more appealing.

When you sit in a TL and sit in a G35, the TL is alot more comfortable.

When you rev a TL and rev a G35, the G35 is a beast.

I would get the TL just becuase I'ma 4doorer kind of person even tho the G35 is sexy as hell. If you wont have alot of cash to mod either car get the TL because getting G with torment you to mod it alot more than the TL. I think both will still be costly to repair because off the age and plus the TL was considered to be the countries most computerized car when it came out in its current body style which might be hella expensive to repair when there is no warranty available. You can achieve the same feeling and status driving TL while keeping both the luxury/sporty feel and look and not throwing the all 'round PRACTICALITY out the door. Throw some nice wheels on the TL and its immediately into the sporty class while having a badass luxurious interior and options. Thats all i got, make up your mind soon

Honestly I would take the TL even the generation before the new ones they have now.

1st of.. i would never get a car with a salvaged title (unless it's dirt cheap) as it would deffinately be difficult to sell or demand for a reasonable price when the time comes that you want to sell the car..

now,, a TL or a G coupe..? it really depends on YOUR wants and needs for getting a new/er car. besides the obvious difference on both cars, they each have their pros and cons. you have to weigh and set down your priorites. write it down on a peice of paper if you must and take it from there.. goodluck!

G35 sedan? You get the practicality of a four door and the performance of the G35 coupe, that is if thats in your opinion.

TL....Interior is higher quality, and the seats are excellent. Tons of gadgets, too.

I love the TSX(accord) so naturally I love the TL....

plus I trust Honda reliability. Hands Down.

my uncle has a g35 copue and my friend has a TL and after driving both of them the Tl is more practical and comfortable and will get up and go the g35 handles alot better than the TL but the interior of the Tl is just and the statement about the Tl feeling bouncy it is only if you hit a huge pothole fast but that is with any car so in my opinion i would say go with the TL
