cool man just get a good built vw motor an 1835 or something and then later throw a turbo on it.it will make insane power.and the stock motors where 1600cc 1.6 liters but they only made like 62 horse.lol.the real early ones where 1100cc and like 24 horse and then they started moving up from there to 1200 1300 1500 and then the 1600.theres a lot of history on the bugs just check around i actually thought about getting one last week when i got the new bimmer but the wife doesnt like bugs.lol. i love them a 1965 dropped with empi 5 spokes ahhh now thats cool.
