More searching... LOL... here's more of what I want. Any ideas?

Yes, I'm thoroughly abusing this website...

I'm still searching for a good car. I've altered my criteria once again.

The Acura CL-S is probably at the top of my list, but I want a few more options in case I can't find one that I really want.

    I want:
Black leather interior - I DESPISE beige leather! Gray looks like ass too.
    Over 200hp. 240+ is preferred.
V6 or turbocharged 4 (I prefer the 4 to have a manual transmission...)
    $10,000 or under
100,000 miles or under (preferably under 80,000)
    About 25mpg combined.
    2000 or newer (some exceptions...)

I can deal with an automatic V6 if it's powerful enough. I can deal with FWD.
I'm hoping for more of a luxury-sport type car.

The cars I'm currently looking at would be:
CL-S (head and shoulders above the rest at the moment)
    Grand Prix GTP
    I30
    Maxima
WRX (yeah, no leather... but at least a black interior!)

    Any other suggestions?

I'm doing my best to stay away from the lower-end cars, even if they're the better models. I don't really want to consider the Sentra SE-R, Integra GSR, Corolla S (shudder), or anything along those lines. I have my go-kart in the CB7. I want a little more class in my next car

what about the wrx like chris(teksi) has. i rode in it a few weeks ago and it was really really solid. great all around car. fast, good handling, fairly quiet on the road too. im sure u could find one used for just north of the 10 grand range

Yeah, I'm thinking along those lines as well... The Impreza is probably the only low-end model that I'd consider in better trim (the WRX is a far cry from the base Impreza!)

I found a blue wagon locally for under 9,000... but it has nearly 150k miles. AW warned me away from that, and knowing his love of those cars, I'll take his advice!

I'm definitely trying to stay Japanese, and possibly American. European cars are just too expensive to fix, and aside from BMW and VW/Audi, I haven't seen great online forum-type support for Euros (Saab, Volvo, MB... all the forums I saw for those were pretty lame!) Forums are a big part of how I learn about my cars, so I'd definitley like some good community support!

      More cars I'm considering:
      Chryslers
      300m
Sebring convertible (the previous model, not the current turd)
PT Cruiser (ONLY the 5 speed turbo... dunno if I can find one cheap enough!)

My stepfather ownes a Chrysler dealership, so the prices and service on a newer Chrysler wouldn't kill me. He's no push-over, and I wouldn't get any handouts from him, but I'd always get a fair deal and the best car he can find.

TL-S? or just a normal TL? Similar to CLS but 4 door and it has black leather. MR2 maybe? Look into some older body Lexus' The LS were nice cars for there time. Older body GS were nice too but a bit bubbly for there design. If all else fails an NA MKIV supra haha.

I looked into Supras last night They seem to be around $14k still.

I suppose I could try a TL... Nearest TL-S I could find is $16,000... too much for me!

Hadn't considered the MR2... I'll look into that!
I checked for 300zx's, but so many that I saw were beat to hell, and still priced over $6000... True sports cars may be a bad idea, since they get SO beat up so often!

I found one locally for $10,999... I want to see if I can get them down another 1000. Wheels have some curb rash, and there's one ding (not bad at all). Otherwise, it's clean as hell.

That's still my preference, but I need to consider some other things to be safe. I NEED another car ASAP, and I want to make sure I get something I truly like!

IMO you need to drive all of these cars before you make a decision. Something that looks good on paper might not be good to drive. Likewise, something that isn't so great on paper may be a blast to drive.

Yeah, I totally agree. I need to get a good idea of what I'm going to want to look at first, though.

The CL, being a Honda product, would probably have the most familar features... again, a plus.
I expect the GTP to be a little on the soft side in terms of interior and ride... not too sporty, but plenty of floaty American power.
The Nissan products are fairly Honda-like in my experience. I expect a little more cushiness from those, but not too much over what I'm familar with.
I know NOTHING about Subaru, so I really can't even assume what to expect there.
And Chrysler, I have more Chrysler experience than anything else (in terms of different models and trims)

I keep finding ONE model that really intrigues me, but it's hard to find a car in good condition at the right price when I'm only looking for a single model (and in terms of the CL Type S, I'm looking for a specific trim as well!)

I'm trying to stay away from European... just too expensive to fix, and too unfamiliar to me to figure it out myself.

As for the TL... maybe. Legend, while sweet, is a little on the old side. For 1000 miles a week, I need something from this millenium!
