ok, thank you, I figured he'd murder me on the freeway, my only hope was off a line, so if I can just surprise him a bit I don't mind losing.

And I'm 21, I know you know more than I do, I'm not proud or anything but you have to admit that I did have all that information posted at the beginning of the thread with no edits later........I spent a long time reading on this site before joining and posting, and my first priority with cars was learning the practical aspects of maintenance and repair before considering performance and "tuning". I don't a have a lot of money, and I know that compared to the 16 year olds on this site who have already gotten their hands dirty I'm late to this game. But I had other priorities earlier in life and pursued those first.

I appreciate that a lot of people here know a great deal, but I don't enjoy the condescension from people who don't even finish reading my posts to see whether I know something or not. Just give me a break man, we're all trying here, and at least I'm not one of those guys who goes off half-assed and gets someone killed. You don't have to feel like you need to continue this as an argument, cuz I doubt anything productive will come out of it. I'll post later if I ever can get him to race.

    Thanks for the feedback guys

i say if you can do a h23 or f22b head swap. I mean it won't hurt. and it'll be better than the f22a.

yeah man, that's what I've been considering....but deever made a good point to me before about my bottom end being tired....it has 240K on it now....

so I've got to weigh a head swap to the extra cost of going with a full swap, and the possibility that I might put the head on and then have to do the bottom not long afterwards......so many options, with so many potential ramifications.

but you're right, it'd be better than stock, and one of the easier choices to go with. thanks man

edit: nice car you have there, my first cb7 was Seattle Silver with the maroon interior like that, it was in excellent condition and I loved her. Couldn't take the auto, but I have to admit a fondness for the red interior, even if everyone else on this site can't stand it. Keep her clean

thank you. I like the auto because i can eat and drive at the same time. I swim literally over 6 hours a day.

swim?? that doesn't sound like it'd be good for your interior, lol. but yeah, auto is the bomb for dashboard dining and watching movies while driving (which I don't recommend, unless its a straight road).

eventually (as in, when I have money) i'd like to buy a big ls400 lexus or something, then I can have auto for all those trips and when you just don't feel like clutching, and the accord for when I wanna have some fun with a 5spd. take it easy dude

nah swim team stuff really kills. this was before i went to college this year.

                  practice was from 5:00 - 7:20 am
                  school from 7:25 - 2:25
                  practice again from 2:30 - 6:00 (always went to 6:30 though. )

now my car just sits in the garage. i drive it when i get back.

thats insane man! 6 hours of swimming is unreal....I used to do some track and field a bit, but swimming is hard work.......builds strong lungs.

do you miss the car? I go two or three days without driving and it feels weird.....but I practically live out of my car, I put about 40-50 clicks a day on it.

In your current stock form I wouldn't even try an auto is300. You should get your ass handed to ya. But add a little bit of juice or motor swap and your back in the game. Stock h22 cb will pull away from a stock is300. I've never lost to one... but then again I'm not stock either.

They aren't even decent in stock trim. Its like racing a BMW 325CI/I or a Maxima. They have good low torque naturally, but the top end is meh...

With decent mods (F-Max bolt kit mainly), those suckers kill. I had an issue of modified where the owner got this thing to take 20psi on the stock block to the tune of 514whp/tq. After a STOCK GTE piston swap, it handled close to 700whp.

thanks guys, useful info......I might do an f22b swap, but odds are I'll never go turbo as I can't afford the possibility of a blown engine....my Cord is a DD, so I can't really have it laid out for engine overhauls. But I'll try to maximize the potential n/a. Thanks again

Shawn Hayden adnI were on our way back from Nashville from the honda-tech meet. An we pulled up next to a modded is300 I don't know all it had done to it, but it look like a exhaust system and lowered wheels and maybe some other engine mods. We came to a light and the guy was revving at us....dude as soon as the light when green Shawn hammered it lol and before we know the is300 is atleast 3 or 4 cars behinds us.
                                GOT REBEL?
