    buddies is-300 1jz-gte motor swap 56k

    lil_dcb7 eat your heart out :P
    they are still working a few more things out on it
    done by CFM motorsports here in tampa
    this is the guy i have to compete with now ....hehe..wtf

    the 1jz-gte in the engine bay



    we told the owner to keep the front bumper off but he refuses

    BOV is on the hot side of the intercooler under the passenger front headlight

    is-300's look sweet!!!

    the mechanics/owners of CFM Jesse and James... at least i think that is their name

    the problem with the 2k rev was an ignitor wire.. i think???...???

    TRC are the letters you cant make out TRC stands for Traction control! (toyota)

      that looks pretty bad ass. considdering that car has a 2jz-ge,

      makes me wonders why not just do a 2jzgte swap?

      pretty dope none the less...

      it gets my approval!

        hey i got a question for you amigo...

        right now they are having some tech difficulties... it seems when they rev it up to 2k it the motor cuts out.. they are thinking its teh fuel filter.. what do you think lil_dcb7???

        btw.. the reason he got the 1jz-gte over the 2jz-gte is the 3000 dollar price difference.. as you know the 2jz has the 6 spd and bigger turbos

          you can utilize the 1jz trans on the 2jz if I remember. Gearing is pretty close just one is i5 and the other is six. Is it throwing any CEL? I woulda just bolted a turbo to the already 2jz but oh well. The 1jzgte should give him a bit more room.

            ditto would have made a good 350-400 whp with just a turbo on the old motor.

            As far as the car goes... check to make sure the sercurity system isn't interfering with the motor... I remember whenever my buddy's supra's alarm would go off the car would go into a limp mode and wouldn't rev over 2k.

                they got the motor to run and go over 2k today... and run perfect

                they did something with the vacuum line and boost controller..moved it to another location something along those lines

                but when they turned the car off and back on.. the same problem of revving over 2k happend again.. im thinking its bad sensors...

                he thinks its bad coil packs...

                i told him about teh security system may be acting up.. and the guy working on the car said that he would take that into consideration...

                    FUCKING RIGHTS DOGGIE. that better be a 5 speed. and that car has gotta fuckin HAUL ASS. and the 1JZ is the best sounding on the PLANET. YEAH!

                    the 2jz is completely over-rated, and over priced. 1500 for a good 1jz, no tranny, and 700hp capabilities, you cant go wrong.

                      x2. Still need to get that front clip for my supra haha. Damn NA to Turbo conversion is gonna be a bitch on that thing. I still need to find some parts to convert. But at the end should be fun. Hard as hell to find MKIII laying around the yards nowadays down here to pull some parts off. Im lookin forward to more of a 1.5 with the 2jz head and 1jz block.

                          Yea I found one for 1800. Its a distributor somewhere in Canada. Might as well get one right =D. But yea I wanna throw a 2jz head on there if I get the funds.

                            if you have a pre 89 supra, make sure you swap out the controll arms(i believe it is) because they use some hydraulic motor mount or some shit.. If I remember correctly...

                              1.5jz is the way to go....ALTHOUGH, I don't believe ANYONE who says that the 2JZ is overrated.....

                              No engine that can make 800 WHP on stock internals is overrated.
