hey guys, i am looking at a 98 honda prelude vtec, another guy looked at it, but he didnt buy it because after 2200 rpms he said it seems to run a little rougher. the owner said when he drives the car he cant tell a difference. is it normal for it to sound different after 2000-2200 rpms? thanks in advance-

Ya know, my H22 had a strange vibration at about 2250 or 2750, can't recall which. But at any other speed it was smooth. And yes, I only noticed this when I wasn't moving. I suspect if its rough at any speed above 2200 then the balance shafts may not be properly aligned. -
Yeah, it was when the guy was messing with the throttle cable is when he heard it. But he said the car drives smooth. So its not a major problem then?

When was his last tune up. My h22a does not do that in the 2200 or so range its smooth throughout.
