    Question about 98 Prelude

hey guys, i am looking at a 98 honda prelude vtec, another guy looked at it, but he didnt buy it because after 2200 rpms he said it seems to run a little rougher. the owner said when he drives the car he cant tell a difference. is it normal for it to sound different after 2000-2200 rpms? thanks in advance-

Ya know, my H22 had a strange vibration at about 2250 or 2750, can't recall which. But at any other speed it was smooth. And yes, I only noticed this when I wasn't moving. I suspect if its rough at any speed above 2200 then the balance shafts may not be properly aligned.

Yeah, it was when the guy was messing with the throttle cable is when he heard it. But he said the car drives smooth. So its not a major problem then?
