well, within 6months ive done everything to this car i told myself i wasnt going to do. but again, in my defense, i didnt pay anything near retail for any of it. just for fun, lets do a little comparo between what i paid vs. ebay prices... not even retail, but ebay!!!
tanabe catback - paid=$240 pickedup vs. ebay=$750 shipped
aem coldair - paid=$100 shipped vs. ebay=$230 shipped
tein ss coilovers - paid=$690 shipped vs. ebay=$990 shipped
xs headers - paid=$150 shipped vs. similar comptech(used/new)=$500/$1200 shipped
total paid - $1180
total savings - $1290
so with being patient, i got my entire package for over 50% off. so i guess i can justify buying all this unnecessary shit.
anyways. here are a few pics of the final addition to my famil under the hood... the type-s aem coldair intake.
and just for shits, heres another a cleaner pic of the front header i sprayed. i resprayed since the installation. gave it a few more coats and a smoother look.
the car is defiently making more power than it did a few months back. here are a couple vids to compare a deadstop launch. no ebrake, no neutral drop, none of that shit... i just took my foot of the brake and then floored it. all i gotta say. for an a/t, it sure does a nice lil burnout. not sure if it has an open diff or lsd, but it spins both tires nicely.
notice the first vid, it burns for very little, from about 3-4k. after the i/h/e, it burns from 3k to past 5000rpm. if i had the smaller stock tires on, it might burn through to 2nd. when im not so lazy i wanna swap the front tires just to try this experiment.
