Sweet, so I basically my red Accord project made about the same HP gain as this supercharger (i.e. about 55 whp gain). That's improving intake, exhaust and headwork not touching the block. My peak HP is around 6600 rpm.

It says 58 hp, and 50 %%%%% more torque, not 50 more ft/lbs.. Still a waste IMO, cause turbo is better.

only reason i was asking was cuz i saw, mostly heard, a 94+ integra on highway with some kind of supercharger (probably JR, or comptech or something) and it pulled hard from about 85ish... i was just curious if they were as unreliable as turbos at the same psi

they're not unreliable compared to turbos. Superchargers has been out for awhile. They're just less efficient than turbos (especially root-type) and they're driven off of the engine belt. That's more parasitic loss for the engine.

the JRSC unit is reliable though. Instant power gain from down low without having to rev over 3k to get power. I can see why it's suitable for those who want low end. $2200 for a supercharger is cheap when you consider what superchargers for other cars sells for.

The thing is, you can buy mods for your car and gain the same power, but to gain that much power, you'll be well over $2200 in mods. FI is more efficient in terms of mod response from the engine. Gives you more headroom
