    import compact hatches...

    didn't toyota make a rwd 1 in the 80's? or someone else. pics too.

    not the overrated ae86 style car. an actual hatch like the civic. i saw 1 on a toyota forum awhile back and its stuck in my head.

    the only one i know that toyota made was the starlet...i think it was fwd...bad ass hatch, tho.

      Is that the same as the Corolla FX-16 hatch? That's the only one I can think of and you're right it wasn't RWD.

          Supposedly they were kind of quick. My buddy wanted one back in the day. He ended up getting a 88 Corolla GT-S 5-speed. That was a fun car to drive! Looked a lot better IMO too.

                The 80-82 era Starlet MIGHT have been rear wheel drive, but many people converted them to RWD for drag racing.

                      starlets are fucking sick especially a rotary powered one. theres a guy who brings a silver one out to the street races here in ct. that runs low 11's. its not even registered he just brings it out to smoke everybody lol.

                        well if anyone is interested ima slap a SICK toyota starlet on ebay this weekend. it has a 1.8 corolla all chrome engine that does 11 sec on gas 1/4 mile. so keep your eyes open for this badass hatch sunday night.to be continued
