Thanks a lot for the responses guys. It was really just a hypothetical question. After browsing some prices they are a little more expensive than I thought and it looks pretty tough to find a 5-speed coupe. I'll stick with my current plan of driving the '93 until it falls apart or if I land a nice job when I graduate.

The 6th gen coupe has always been a favorite of mine looks wise, don't care much for sedans and the 5th gen coupe doesn't do it for me like the 4th/6th gen ones do.

I may still go drive a couple just see if the difference would be worth the cost of the upgrade, but in the end I'm guessing I'll just stick with the '93 like I said earlier.

All the 5th gens that I saw had well over 80,000 miles on it. I do a lot of driving, (currently 94,200 miles on my Accord now ) so I had to buy a car with low mileage.
That's why you swap the motor.

I bought my '94 with a shit ton of miles.. but in about a year it's getting a heart transplant

Bah I just lost a long ass post...in any case, an H23 head swap would work(I think). CG's are only about 100# heavier than equivalent CBs...and the extra engine power kinda makes up for it. I personally wouldn't rock with one, but they're not too bad to rock with. The CB is the perfect size IMO...

Yeah, I understand that but I ain't buyin' no car just to do an engine swap right way. I can see down the road if the engine is giving problems or if you're just ready to do a swap but not right after buying it.

owequitit, you make some good points. I can respect that.

I would love to throw an H22 in my bay but I have other $ priorities now. I'm gettin' married May, 2007.

5th generation were a mistake by Honda. A 96 DX was given to my retarted so called brother (I think he was adopted ) and the car is starting to show rust in the usual trouble spots.

I remember how pissed I was when the 5th gens came out. I guess the Preludes were the inspiriation for the 5th gens.

And yes the 6th gens are notorious for tranny problems. My buddy's 98 Auto took a dump.
