While I was in japan visiting some relatives at Yokota AFB, I've seen only Accord SiR and Torneo military police cars. I didn't see one JDM Hwy patrol car while on the roads outside the base (probably the japanese police had better things to do than try to catch people speeding when they couldn't really) Japanese traffic sucked more than LA traffic during peak hours and we were bumper to bumper for deep. I've never seen so many toll booths either in my life! It seems like we will pass one....then 10-15min of driving we will come up to another.

Yeah these police cars are nice... they need something at least with a turbo to keep up with the j-tuner cars that be running around on the streets. I've seen some internet videos of japanese guys leaving the police behind with their slow cars which is quite funny. Most of the cars i've seen around the Tokyo area were lots of skylines and evo's....as far as fixed up hondas the only ones i've seen that were fixed up were two EK Civic-R hatches. Evo's 6's and r32,r33,r34 skylines however were as common as mustangs and camaros here on the road from what i've seen....way too many of them. I can't wait to go back for a visit. My uncle just got a Skyline r32 GT-S to drive back and forth to work and I can't wait to try that out.

^^ pretty cool story bro, it makes me want to go visit even more...i think i might next summer.

i would suspect that the Japanese police would need something in order to keep up with cars there...and well i guess those cars do the job pretty well. Very cool cop cars i must say!

its like here in the US in a way, down south in order to catch people running from the cops on the long straightaways, the cops all have the 5.0 mustangs and stuff.

That NSX looks hilarious with that huge light bar on top, lol

I'd think that with technology, they'd switch over to the LED light bars instead of the traditional strobes like most Police cars in the U.S.
          They'd look alot better too.

thats funny, i spent my teenage years at Yokota. i owned a 92 prelude back then. my first car. we used to race around the flightline after work, you know how coming in the gate from the west side, youd be facing the terminal you could take a right to the north side or go left and it's all two lane around the whole flightline? every night after work (i worked in the Taco Bell inside the food court) we'd go race around that road. bumper to bumper was how i learned to drive. good times, i miss japan i havent been back in about 5 years. i grew up in Okinawa then moved to Yokota when i was 13 till i was 17, my dad is back in Okinawa now driving his Toyota Corolla 2 hatchback. i wish i had a pic, mirrors on the fenders and everything, true JDM. If you've never been you need to go, some of you would shit your pants if you knew the cars i was raised around and took for granted till i moved here. i remember sitting in my buddies S13 when he first got it and the only thing i could think was how cool the heads up KPH was. and really they dont need those cars to catch anyone there, its so hard to "speed" because of traffic, unless you get on the Expressway in which case, you pay to get on and there is no limit (at least there wasnt when i was there, may have changed) the end.
