damn what do you people think about the pontiac GTO ?
i have been thinking about what my next car will be i was thinking along the lines of a 350 zed , STI, and EVO..but damn .. 400 hp all motor..nice.. this is the only american car i am considering and the price is nice!..the only drawback i see is the weight of the car

I am not at all impressed with the GTO. 13s in a car with 400hp is shitty. Get a used camaro, mach 1, or cobra and save yourself some money. You can also get C5 vettes for decent prices now.

Ive always liked the Holden monaro.....then they brang it to the states as a GTO. I think its a pretty good car.

Its a nice car, but its not what a GTO should be. A GTO is supposed to be pure muscle. The GTO is like a grand am on steroids.

Ya, I'd have to go with the Mustang Cobra SVT. With a few mods like the new ECU and the pulley kit it'll be right up there in power with the GTO. It's going to be cheaper than the goat. The Corvette's are cool, but I just see it as an older mans car that's all.... Plus, I'm a FORD guy from way back at my first truck.

Give it a little modding and tuning and itd be more like 500+ all motor.

Stock a cobra is faster than a GTO with 10 less HP. Put a pulley, chip, intake exhaust, ported blower, and you will be knocking at the door to running 10s.

I like the GTO too. If pure speed was the only consideration in a car, I wouldn't be driving a CB7. LOL. I like the Stangs too though. The GTO is just a little more luxurious.

You should get a CTS-V!

damn there are alot of cars to choose from. you best bet is to go TEST DRIVE them and see what you will feel comfortable. GTO vs COBRA feels like back in the day to me
