    Nissan and Toyota news

I just picked up the March issue of Super Street, and they made mention of a couple really cool things...

    1) Nissan announced that the GT-R is coming back in 2007, and it will be released in the US market... Now, if they could only give us the R34! I know it's probably gonna be the G35.

    2) Toyota is releasing the Lexus brand in Japan in 2005... Interesting stuff, if you ask me. I wish we could get the cool Toyota cars (well, badging) over here... I'd rather have a Toyota Soarer than whatever the damn letter/number thing Lexus uses for it... (SC300? SC400? whatever..)

That's all... Just wanted to share with you guys what I thought was cool news.

Yeah I agree. I like names better than numbers and letters. Silvia, Integra(not the *** ass RSX), Soarer, Altezza, etc. I guess they think the U.S. market has to have macho names.

I would so rock a Soarer or Silvia... Maybe not an Altezza, simply because of the cheezy tail-lights associated with the name (perfect for that car, but horrible on anything else in my opinion.)

cb7deathride, do you have any pics of the GTR concept car? I'm curious as to what it looks like. Isn't the current G35 the same as the Japanese Skyline? Or at least close to it (maybe more luxury and less sport...)

That same issue has the 2004 lancer evolution RS. Its basically the same car stripped down to a raceing car. No rear wing, no a/c, power nothing, stripped trunk, no HID headlights, no wear wiper, and no audio system. 150 pounds lighter, and cheaper. But only 700 are planned next year.
