I Gotta Motor Question For My 87***

ok ok ok i know this its 4th gen accords but i have a question for you people...not the 3geez group...

    ok i have a 1987 honda accord lx-i hatchback...
    its auto...

I was wondering which swap you ppl would recommend me doing...its between a B-series(prolly gs-r) or the H-series(h22a)
im lookin for the one with less hassel and lower cost to do

ive heard that the mounts on a B-series are pretty much the same(i dont know if its true...)

i've also heard that that its hard to find axles to go on a H-series swap to the (86-89) honda accord hubs...

idk...i need some advice about this....im thinkin about keepin my hatch now...

    thanks

ur best bet would be to go 2 3geez.com. but i found out that it would be better 2 put a b20 or b18 in it. being that the H22 and H23 are 2 big. u could turbo the motor u got in it due 2 the fact that it has a cast iron block which is GREAT 4 boost

ur best bet would be a b20 swap. just make sure u hav the usual stuff like axls and so on. u should be ok. then if its not enough power still, trubo it.

lol...i dont have enough money to import/buy a jdm b20...the lude and cr-v ones wont work in my car..., i think i would rather get what ever kinda motor my dad could get me...ive got $250 in my wallet and ima see what my dad could do...i could always get a motor with a good block and one with a good head a put the 2 together...but, idk...any more ideas

if he can put a b20 in, he can put any b-series, and why not just get a b18c? It's the best engine.

you need a mount kit for the B-series swap. they dont make them anymore. sadly, if you had searched, this HAS been covered here before. PM deev, he knows quite a bit about the 3rd gens.

ZC DOHC with turo. ZC are really cheap.
