thats steve from 3geez... adn no that's not a common swap... mounts are almost impossible to find plus with the broke o.g. status of the 3rd genners.... steve went way out with that swap...

        SOLD!

I thought I recognized that car I never really spent much time on 3geez... the board was so divided... those who knew, and those that knew nothing. They didn't seem to mix well, like we do here.

Well, the B swap may not really be THAT popular, but it was popular enough for Place Racing to produce mounts. I guess unpopular enough to not keep Place Racing in business though, eh? It's true though, CB7ers seem to put a LOT more money into our cars in general than the 3geez guys.

Someday I might get back to my 3G plans... A turbo LS/VTEC in a 3G hatch would be SO cool!

Always has been a fantasy of mine! I would stuff an H22 in there though! Crazy props for this swap. And the car is so clean also! Why, just the other day I came across a clean hatch LX-i and I thought "an h22 would kick ass here...".

An H22 would be a VERY tight fit (like in a Civic) and it would possibly throw the weight balance off (maybe not though, since the stock motors have iron blocks... the H could be lighter!). In a car like that, I would rather have the B series. I LOVE my H, but I wouldn't put it in anything other than a Lude or a 90+ Accord.

Plus, the 3G had a great suspension setup... Better than ours, IMO. Why ruin that with a heavy motor?

Very good point made there Deev...

But why did the 3G have a better suspension setup?
I thought they had too much body roll....

Sucks to hear about Place Racing going out of business.. I was going to do a B16A1 swap in my '87 but instead bought my 240

Ah. I miss my 3gee. Twas a carb and auto, but got the greatest gas mileage. I wanted to do the carb-Efi conversion, but never got around to it.

The most common engine swap I've seen are the B20s on the board. The old school B20s that came in the Accords and 2nd gen Preludes in JDM land. Dammit, I have those brochures somewhere.....

                    Miss that little car.....
