    Header for my Civic?

    Whats a good choice?

I really want an Apex'i header, but its hard as hell to find, and the places that list it don't even have it in stock!

    Its a 1995 Civic, 5 spd.

Uhm yeah? Im gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there.

Well tonk! It all depends on how much money you are willing to fork out. If you looking for top performance I would say the smsp, bismoto, comptech. If looking for descent header that your not going to pay out the ass for, then....Kamikazi, dc sport, apex-i. I often hear that "you get what you pay for." Most of the time it is very true. Cheap parts equals cheap performance. You may save a couple bucks, but later down the road you will kick yourself for not buying the right shit in the first place.

I'm torn, because I really want to match my exhaust and I finally found a GT Spec header from Apex'i, but I hear about these other companies...

Now I have seen the Bisimoto header, but is it a standard bolt up application?

If these top dollar headers require collectors and such, I would like to know from an experienced member on the subject, and most of you seem to fit the bill.

        Any comparasion charts?

Okay, I cleaned this up. Any more post whoring/name calling and I'm going to start being a dick.

TonK...to answer your question, I think it honestly depends on what you want out of the car. What trim Civic is it...is it EX/Si or DX/LX? If you've had your heart set on the Apex'i header, get that, because you'll always wonder what if. I wouldn't spend a ton of money overbuying for a car that doesn't have a bunch of top end high horsepower mods. I think when you get into the Bisimoto pieces, you're looking at 800+ for just a header, that might give 2-3 hp over the Apex'i...unless you want to be able to boast about the Bisi...

smspm, bismoto, hytech....In my opinion...... those brands are the top notch of the competition. They seem to be putting down anywhere from 8-10 more hp then the other serious competitors like dc, apex-i, kamikazi.

I see it as 3 different levels of product

top level- serious tuners....settles for nothing but the best
                          smsp
                          bismoto
                          hytech

2nd level- moderate tuner....likes quality, but not willing to donate a kidney
                          DC
                          apex-i
                          Kamikazi

bottom level- sloppy tuner....whatever is cheapest, does the trick for now.
