So we're doing GM dealer training the next two weeks here at Bondurant. They have C6, C6 Z06, XLR, CTS-V, etc, and a ton of competitor cars (Porsche, BMW, etc) here.

Well....Bob was out on track earlier in a new Z06 and all I can say is WOW. The way it sounds, looks, everything....is amazing. I never noticed, but there is a button for an exhaust cutout, and let me tell you, when its opened, this thing sounds sooooo mean just in stock form.

I think the new Z06 will be giving its competition quite a run for its money!

I'll have some video of the Z06 on track later today so you can hear it yourself.

Here is the exhaust cutout that was mentioned earlier. As you can see, the valve shuts off the two inner pipes for restricted flow

I can understand why the diehard corvette fans are disappointed with the new car, (90% because they wanted flip lights) but the more they drop the restrictions of retaining the past generations' quirks, the more it performs like a real sports car. Since I'm not stuck with my head in the past, I'm glad it's moved in the direction it has.
