i just bought gas tonight at price costco (always about 10-25 cents per gallon cheaper), and paid 2.86/gallon. no joke. driving around l.a. yesterday, the highest price i remember seeing was 3.10/gallon.

It is insane! In Canada gas averaged about 70 cents/litre for a while, then lately it went up to 90c/litre. Today it was $1.15 a litre in the morning, $1.42 in the evening, and tommorow they said it's going up to $1.62 /litre!! The madness doesn't stop.
I also use Ultra 94 octane only, so that's another 12 cents/litre on top of the prices above... which are for regular 87 octane.

My CB7 is now ***FOR SALE***

the reason why the gas was that expensive was that gas stations didn't want to run out of gas. so instead of shutting down the station, they just jacked the price to $6.00, they weren't expecting people to buy it! heard this on the news.

Here in Tucson the Gas Prices are reaching the $4.50 range for premo.....im going crazy, I know that milk, water, and some other resources are more expensive, but in order to make money to buy these things you need transportation, and in that case you need to frequently buy gas.....now my car is going to cost me about $60 to fill instead of $34....holy jesus....its almost doubled!!!!!

You guys are crybabies if you complain about gas. I make around 30K a year and drive three cars, two with V8's.

My CB ran me about $45 dollars last week.

My new truck, 73 Ford F250 with 390 V8 (6.4) gets about 8-10 MPG and has two 25 gallon tanks! So I can go about 400 miles before I fill up. I spent $145 yesterday to fill it up. Don't bitch about 50, I pay tripple once a week.

My 98 Dodge Durango with 360 V8 (5.9) gets about 12 MPG around town and 14 on the highway. Gas cost me 75 in that one.

So I'm spending around 200 a week for gas, usually for two cars. If I have to go out of town, forget about it, like 300 a week.

Luckily my wife make decent money too.
