    1996-2000 Civic EX hatchbacks

    Ok.

So Im on the prowl for a Civic , a specific type and I can't even find it. I was looking for a reasonably used Civic for sale preferably a sedan or better yet a sedan.

During my search it yeilded more EX sedans and coupes rather than hatchbacks. If I remember reading the Consumer Reports correctly I remember that the Civic came in I think 10-13 different trim levels.

My question is this...why is the EX hatchback so friggin rare? I see more DX's , VX's and even CX's around than most. And if someone can enlighten me here.

It seems its really a rare thing to come across an EX hatch.

What are the 13 trim levels?

I found this for sale...located in VT for anyone whos interested.

That would explain your problem finding it. What you are looking for must be a Civic Si. Its alot like an EX. At least the 92-95 models.

Im very good with trim levels, but Mr.Honda broke it down nicely.
For the 92-95 Gen, the Si Hatchback was like an EX. But for the
96-2000 gen, the Hatchbacks came with power nothing.
I think teh best Hatch is the '95 Si, which came with rear discs
and ABS. Not to mention cruise control and all that other good stuff.
The only odd thing is that they still had manual windows, but a power
        sunroof

Hmm I had no idea the hatchies (EKs) never had an EX model trim.

I wonder though if the door panels are switchable with the coupe. As for the Si. I like the EGs but the interior feels a little too cheap. probably because I'm so used to the 1996-99 models (gf owns a 98 Ex sedan) , I've completely fallen for the Civic.

I may end up with a Sedan if I play my cards right.

My friend's 92 Si has rear disc. He doesn't have ABS, but he does have cruise.

The 92 Si also had different motor mounts than the 93-95, and a few other different pieces I can't remember right now.

Speakin of which I saw a 91 Si in Teal. Not bad for an EF hatch.

Oh yeah in case anyone is wondering about my sig pictures..

Yeah that is a real convertible WRX and a Nissan Hardbody from Austrailia.

                That is fucking nuts.

Oh and yeha F&F is a sure big hit with that prelude too
