The Mazda 3 a crappy car? LOL I guess if you don't like good handling or good looks. The interior is a nice black in that car. Yes the seats aren't that hot but what econo car looks that great on the inside? But get the 2.3L And the Corolla has ok looks, which means in 3 years that will turn into typical Toyota blah. And the Scion has 2 doors and the lowest gas mileage.
I'd say those all have convincing selling points and aftermarket appeal. Depends which you see yourself in.

Drive the Mazda3 right after driving the tC and Corolla and you will actually see how bad of a car it truly is. Sure it looks good, and it can go around corners with ease. But when I drove over train tracks in the 3, it was like a bone jarrnig hit, the steering wheel jerked right out of my hands. Who cares if the interior is a "nice black." Drive the car and see how crappy the materials are. The plastics actually look like plastic, unlike any Honda's or Toyota's.

The seats aren't great, so true. "But what econo car looks good on the inside?" a tC, Corolla, and a Civic. The 2.3l won't make any difference in the shitty ride or the poor interior quality.

Plus, who said I was looking at an econo car? Not all cars in the 15-17k range are economy cars. The tC is built on basically a Camry chassis, it has nice storage space, it's a great performer especially for how much it costs, and did I mention Std. features?

Also, I'd choose a car if it had a nicer interior, with supportive seats and quality materials, even if it wasn't the sexiest thing on wheels. Who would really want to drive a car with seats that make your back sore after 10 minutes on a road trip?

So uslspct, don't talk about things which clearly you have no idea about. Apparently you think that looks are what cars are all about.


Drive a tC, a Corolla, a Mazda3, and truly look at the functionality and the features. I trulky doubt you would chose a 3 over any of the other cars.

right and another 15k needed to maintain/tune the car right if it wasn't taken care of, especially the differential.
there's a reason why people want a new car.. its called less maintenance to no maintenance at all, reliability, and the fact that its NEW should sum it up.
