Hey guys a friend of mine sent me this listing but since neither are an SE-i... well I thought I'd pass it along. Overall I'd say these are in far better shape than anything I've seen so far of this vintage. But they do appear to need some TLC to make them right. As usual I'm not connected in any way with this ad so choose wisely.
Perhaps someone here might give them a good home...
Here is the text from the ad:
"Am Selling my 1989 Honda Accord lxi's. I have collected and restored these cars for years, now it's time for another hobby. these two have been mechanically maintained and meticulously cared fore. both have Beautiful paint jobs. clean inside and out. Both motors are in excellent running condition with new timing belt, front seals on red one and dated timing belt on the green one. these car have a lot of life to go.
The time has come for me to find another passion. I had three of these cars, one 89 LXI is already sold now I have these two left to go !!!
Am getting to old to keep crawling under these beauties. I have done everything I could to keep them in tip top shape. both have all the Honda goodies: fog lights, armrest and rims. both low miles with 90-100% of suspension and steering components restored. both have been repainted and are beautiful with clean carpet and upholstery.
The 2door is a 5 speed and has 140,000 miles. this was my daily driver and by far the most enjoyable to drive. I am the second owner of this car. the original kept it Honda maintain and I have keep mainly Honda parts in it as well.
The red 4door is auto trans. has new timing belt and somewhere around 130,000 miles. suspension is 90% restored. only a few things left to make the ride new
The green 2door needs an AC compressor. it just died, but I have everything ... bracket two used compressors, new hoses and drier.
The red 4door a/c system has been rebuilt and updated everything , seals and all but has leak somewhere EZ fix. If you find something wrong with either them I likely have the new or used parts to fix them.
Both cars have new best in class speed rated and best traction 60-70,000 mile tires !!!
Extras: both turn signal mirrors.
- Red has a trunk wing. Rims are new from 2016 Fit worth $1000.00 alone
- Green complete LXI original carpet mats, rare ... sun roof!! ... cup holders
- Both have upgraded sound systems with amps.
