2014 SRT Viper receives $2,000 price increase to $99,395*

With production and sales of the SRT Viper in full swing, the high-performance coupe is receiving some minor changes for its sophomore year. The big news, of course, is a higher starting price of $99,395 (*plus a $2,600 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination charge), which is an increase of $2,000 but adds more standard features like HD Radio with Navigation and Uconnect, a back-up camera and a 900-watt, 12-speaker Harmon/Kardon audio system.

Other audio system changes include a new lower price for the optional 18-speaker affair, which has dropped from $2,995 down to $1,995. The higher-optioned 2014 Viper GTS is priced from $126,490 (with gas guzzler and destination), but there is still no official word on how much the track-ready Viper TA will cost. Motor Trend is estimating that it could be priced right in the middle of the existing models at around $116,000. There is no press release for the pricing change, but SRT's official response is posted below.

    Press Release

We launched the 2014 SRT Viper with an introductory price of $97,395, which does not include the $1,995 destination charge. The price of the 2014 SRT Viper has increased by $2,000, to $99,395. The price increase covers some additional standard equipment (HD Radio with Navigation and Uconnect Access; 900 Watt 12 Speaker Harman Kardon audio system, including 2 subwoofers; and the ParkView Back-up Camera.). The pricing for the GTS remains the same at $121,895. Also, the gas guzzler tax is $2,600.
