yea my buddy just bought an 8th gen coupe and he has an intake, exhaust and tune and man, once vtec kicks in it just pulls. and vtec sounds crazy on those things! if they werent so damn expensive, i could consider buying one. i guess ill just have to wait a while until they start going down in price

Personally like a ep3, i would take one over a 8th gen. Power can always be fixed, the chassis are pretty decent for a fwd aswell, and they look good. I see nice si ep3's for around 5k in my area all the time even nicely modded.

Personally, I'd buy an EP3 just for something to play with, but the 8th gen has the better engine.

Locally, I'm seeing 06-07 SI's going as low as $5-6k with high miles.

I used to have am 04 and loved it. I'm a sucker for hatchbacks. The only reason sold it was because I had my first kid and had no room in the car. Intake, header, exhaust, and mid pipe and it was fun.

They had to dumb them down to keep separation between them and the RSX Type-S. If you could get a 200HP Civic or pay $5000 more for a 200HP Integra what would you choose?

And their suspension design kind of sucks. The RSX has the same suspension and Real Time Racing got the OK from SCCA to basically re-engineer the rear suspension from scratch, as the stock one sucked donkey dick for racing. The front suspension wasn't much better. Truthfully the 8th gen that followed was a marked improvement, and stock for stock is probably the best FWD Honda chassis of all time (aside from the weight). Rigid, good wheel placement/geometry, good footprint, best DOHC VTEC motor ever etc. etc.

I would get the EP3 but don't plan on having it handle like a DWB Honda. I would make it a straight line beast. Swap in a K24 and build that up. An old Element K24 can do 200whp easy w/just bolt ons and a tune... you will never see that out of the K20A3.
