Ok so i've mentioned this in other threads but haven't figured it out so i'm trying again. I have smoke coming from the oil dipstick tube on my del sol. It's a 95 del sol s with a d16a6 block and d15b7 head. The car sat in the yard for about 9 months and now i'm able to work on it again. I changed the oil, fixed the water leak by getting a new water outlet, and that's it for the engine. I put some fuel treatment in it and a new battery and after about 5 or 6 seconds of turning over it fired right up. It has smoke coming from the dipstick tube. I was told it could just have alot of water in it from sitting for so long and that it just needed to run for a few minutes to burn everything out. I was also told from a mechanic at work that he got a truck one time that had sat for a while and that there were oil drain back holes in the head that had gotten clogged from it sitting there. With them clogged it didn't let the oil circulate back down to the pan and caused the lower part of the motor to get hotter than it should and made smoke come out of the tube. Do civics have problems with that? When I rev my motor the temp gauge goes down when the rpms go up. Maybe the ground on the thermostat? It started up fine. Idled a little rough at first but got better. Started to idle like a bad iacv or fitv or whatever it is on an accord and then went away and everything was good. Temp gauge rose up to it's normal spot and sat there. After it warmed up I revved it a little, nothing major, as in not past 3-3500 and all of a sudden the temp gauge wants to fluctuate as I rev the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am officialy stumped. The more I rev the motor the more the smoke comes from the tube if that helps any. PLEASE HELP!
