Building A Del Sol

Hey guys i was wondering whats the best motor i can get for a del sol because i would love to turbo it. My friends are saying a b16 because i don't have to build the internal stuff like pistons saving me lots of money but what about a b18 i heard it pushes 200hp

depends on which b18 u get..........i believe the type r are the only ones that push 200hp and there expensive as hell..........better off just going w/ a b18a or b18b=(gsr motor) and using the money you saved beefin it up.

B18b = LS motor (non-VTEC)
B18c1 = GSR Motor (VTEC)
B18c5 = Type R

The B18b is a better turbo motor (similiar to the H23 if you will). Some people swap the VTEC head onto the B18b block...hence ls-vtec.

yea i probably want a vtec if i was going to do a swap.i heard the b18 type r is pretty heavy and that its not good for the del sol

for the little bung bung del sol.. get ur self a b16a and buld that thing up till there's no tommorow..even better find urself a b16b type r motor... 9000k rpm..cant go wrong wiht that =P

ur problay right bout that b18b but I have a friend w/ a civic saying his b18b was out of a gsr, maybe he got it from a regular teg and a gsr head was swapped............Good luck w/ ur project d-yup! post pics when done............i would post pics of my buddies del sol w/ b16 greddy turbo kit (quick little beast) but computer won't read them.
