    Chevy lumina shutting off randomly

Like it says, the chevy lumina shuts down randomly and from what I was told it normally happens when something is messed with like the heater, stereo, and oddly enough when the brake pedal is pressed down sometimes. I'm stumped so does anybody have any answers?

It seems like there is something wrong with the electrical system. Maybe there is a short in the system that causes it to shut off when the heater and stereo are messed with or the brakes.

I'm thinking that it is a short but what kind of short should I look for that will affect the car the way it does?

It's a friends car so no previous work done by me. It's been raining lately so I'm just trying to get a gameplan before I go check it out and see if I could help them out
