wow. volvo takes their incredible safety record and makes a pimp ass ride!

i really like the "evolve" in the rear bumper.

hre's are always a great addition.

      love the color.

apparently, the s60r may give the audi s4 and the bmw m3 a run for their money.

      thanks for the pics man!

I saw a review on the s60R and it's got 300hp and runs the 1/4 in like 13.2. I grew up in volvo 240's. I pretty much hate any volvo except the 850 twin turbo and the s60R. I gotta admit, I'd love to get my hands on a s60r.

Good stuff!! But Volvo tuning isn't new..

Check out www.conversseengineering.com for easy V-8 volvo conversions!

Also www.ipdusa.com has tons of aftermarket stuff for volvos. They used to have a good photo gallery, but I haven't seen it recently.

In all reality though, there's no reason in the world to have that much braking power. There's only so much braking force that the tire is going to allow.

But yeah, that is a sick fucking picture!

That is sweet. Nicest volvo I have seen in a while. You know what's funny though....Look at how much of the rotor is not actually being used as braking surface. Half of the rotor is not being used.:wtf: Why didn't they just go with one big caliper that would use up the available braking surface on the rotor.

well, i don't know if that particular volvo ever sees the race track, but in its defense, at least it's applying force on the outer portion where it will supply the most torque/force. with that said, it still is a waste of rotor surface area.

dual calipers have been nothing new to the racing world. BTCC and NATCC (before it went under) vehicles all had dual calipers. definitely overkill on regular street.

I know. Race cars use dual caliper setups. This car is not a race car though. It looks cool though.
