Ok so my dad is looking at trading in his truck to get something better on gas. I have talked him into buying a Honda lol. He wanted the new Civic SI but that would make his payment go up so he won't get it. His second choice is the Honda Fit Sport. I know Deev has a Fit and hopefully he gives some insight on this car. Basically if any of you own one or know anything that goes wrong with them please let me know. I've been reading about them for the last week or so and haven't really come up with anything that's negative. That's about it. Thanks.

i own an 09 fit. honestly besides the lack of power... there isnt anything to complain about check out fitfreak.net they have a subforum dedicated to the 2nd gen.
i chose the fit over the civic because fit's are not you average car, atleast here in socal it isn't. alot more civics are used by the general population. where as the fit the production is actually limitedSo SIIC...
SoCal OG bitches...

Yeah he's been looking around for one locally but hasn't really had too much time for it either lately. He HAS to have cruise control though so he's going to have to find the sport model. He rides around on dirt roads and shit too much though to be looking at a little car. I don't know why he would get rid of his truck. I think it's a 2004, somewhere around that, 4 door Toyota Tacoma SR5. It looks similar to this one.

my dad was in the same situation a couple of weeks ago. we had a van that just sat on our driveway collecting dust and wasting registration and insurance money. so we used the cash for clunkers deal and got ourselves a white 09 sport fit. at first my dad wanted a crv saying its bigger blah blah, but ive ALWAYS loved the fit just for its practicality and simpleness. eventually i convinced him to test drive it and he loved the fit.
my only complaint about it is the fabric they use for the seats. its really clingy so if you want to adjust your pants or if they ride up you gotta sort of lift ur butt and pull your pants down. also we bought the fit for our dog too cuz hes been missing out on the dog park action. his fur sticks to the seats like white on rice and you cant just use a vacuum cuz it wont come off. need some tape to get it off. kinda annoying BUT i fixed that problem with getting leather seat covers from Clazzio. awesome stuff. if you end up getting the fit and want leather, hit me up i have a guy that can get it for cheap.
another complaint i had was the lighting inside. its really dark inside at night cuz only one dome light turns on. and i dont know why they only placed one cargo light in the trunk (trunk is huge) you cant see crap at night. however this was fixed with low budget DIY's so not a big deal
with the fit, i guess the biggest complaint would be lack of power, but this didnt bother me because its a economy car! it has more than enuf to get around. my project crx hf had a 1.5L 50 hp engine and man it was pretty fast as i remember it... before the h22 swap :P (btw the thread in the other vehicles "Proj Seeing the Light" is the crx me and theNextepisode have been working on) i've been getting 44 mpg and i cannot complain with that especially since my wallet is happy now.
the fit has a TON of space to put whatever it is you want. we trasnported 97" wooden boards in it the other day easily. i say its one of the best cars out there for money and practicality. besides those few complaints i couldnt be happier. plus not many people have it and rice it out like civic si's or what not. think of it as an enthusiasts car haha. good project car i suppose?
if you have any more questions lmk. i highly recommend this car. a couple of small low budget DIY's and its a perfect investment. ill post up some pics of it if you want.
heres a DIY i did on www.fitfreak.net:

Handling and Fun to Drive. Very Go-Kart like from what i heard.
2010 NAV model doesn't come with Manual
L series is a pretty good engine. I heard they are very friendly to bolt on just like K Series engine.
