2000 focus SE wagon suspension HATRED

bear with me here, haven't slept yet. Spent the whole night helping my friend out with his mom's focus wagon. he was replacing the whole rear clip, trying to cure mysterious noises and camber problems. when i got there he had most of the clip assembled (the spring perches didn't match up, so he had to mix and match parts). i got to help with the spring compressor (which scared the sh*t out of me because of the horror stories i've heard about them breaking), the sway bar, and then installation. when it finally got all bolted up, it looked good. we did the brakes real quick and took her for a spin. the rear driver side started making a weird racket, sounded like a tire that was super low on air, but amplified by like 10. so i got out and watched him drive and the wheel mysteriously got some CRAZY ASS negative camber for some reason, it was quite disappointing. the worst thing is that ford's rear suspension on these throw away cars is non adjustable (basically the reason he got a whole new clip to begin with). who puts a f*cking non adjustable suspension on anything besides maybe a sandrail? f*cking ford apparently! the only thing i could think of was that the trailing arms mysteriously didn't want to line up correctly, but i wish i had a camera to show how bad the camber was, it couldn't have been just that. sorry i just had to rant. i'll admit i've driven a Ranger that i liked a lot, and been in a couple Thunderbirds that i really enjoyed... but this experience has taught me that real friends don't let their buddys or their buddy's moms buy fords. that is all =(
