The 86 hatchback is still in the works... and I have another idea cooking already!

2nd gen Accord... preferably the hatchback, since I love em.

The A20A of the 3rd gen will fit into the 2nd gen without a problem. (the 86 accord actually came with the E series engine found in the 2nd gen... the 1.8L model, anyway). Once I get the 3G boosted, I'll know what to do for the 2G, with a slight alteration in the charge pipes (since the car is a little smaller, I think).

The 2G is lighter than the 3G, and I'd be willing to fully tub it out. A 1800lb car (down from 2300, if I can do it) with roughly 300hp (possible with the A20A) would put me in the 12s, if not 11s.

That would be a full race project, though I would still want it streetable.

I just think it would be sweet

damn, that would be a stealth-mobile mike!

.2 more liters and hundreds of pounds lighter... with a turbo. that sounds like a good plan to me. where would you find another A20 from?

www.car-part.com is a wonderful thing It's a junkyard search engine. You can find a full, running A20A for $75 on there. It's funny, because they start at like $600!

I plan on getting most of the parts for the 3G on there.

This plan will be a long way off, since I need to build the 3G first. Once I master boosting the A20A in the car it belongs in, I'll toss one in the 2G. Perhaps by then I'll have some sort of name made for myself and I'll be able to get some sponsorships!
