Ford GT500? Do you mean the Ford GT?

The GT was built to compete with Ferrari and the Viper. It costs around 100,000.

The Z06, esp the planned new one is within striking distance of the Ford GT at half the cost.

The 93-02 Camaros were faster across the board than the 94-02 Mustangs. The Camaro V-6 was faster. The Z28 was faster than the GT. The SS was faster than the Cobra. It took a supercharger on the Cobra to finally top the SS.

In Dec 1995 Car and Driver tested a stock Z28 SS and did 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. Later ones were around 5.2 0-60. In comparrison a Toyota Supra Turbo did 0-60 in 5.0 Those are numbers the Cobra of that era couldn't touch.

as for the ford gt 40 that your speeking of accord worror they are only a few thousand made and they are aleady spoken for by car collectors. as for the new cobra it will be from what ive hurd a 5.4 liter twin screw supercharger which is way under rated at around 485hp with extremely restrictive exhaust so there is so much damn potential to come from this car. as you may know the z06 will be 500hp i wouldnt doubt that the cobra even though for is saying 485hp it will be more hp that that just the like the 03 cobra was and just like the did with the new mustangs. so you can count on the cobra easly running with the z06 stait out of the box. also from what ive hurd the cobra is gonna be around 40 to 44k for the cobra and they said it will probably be out by june july of 06. oh and the gt 500 was what shelby made back in 66 through i belive 69 i think they did make them in 70 but i have seen pics of just a gt500 i think i was like a sema pic of like an 03 04 mustang but i havent hurd other then that

yea and i have hurd talk that for was talking to shelby again to do the gt350 and the gt500. but it probably wont be for a few years they said it will probably be like a speacial addition like the mach1 and the bullit. if shelby is gonna have his hand in that shit its gonna be expensive. but would be so bad ass
