Better than a Porsche Panamera? Or how about a Quattroporte?

LOL. Its appearently a concept. if it happens. I think it'll be bad ass!!

Nissan has big plans for its award-winning GT-R supercar. In 2011, we can expect to see not one but two offshoots of the GT-R, namely a four-door Infiniti as well as a Porsche Cayenne-rivaling GT-R SUV, both dropped onto modified versions of the GT-R platform.

      It got cancelled.

And it most likely is not better than the Panamera, and no matter how hard Infinity tries, it will never be a Maseratti.

Kind of like ZR-1 vs 599GTB. It may be fast as shit, and it may be a highly desireable car, but it will never be a Ferrari.

Because the world economy was strong in the past. Right now... not so much. Especially when the new GT-R and vehicles based on it would expect to have a strong market in the US, who's economy is quite in the shitter.

I like the ideas... but honestly, they'd take away from the magic of the GT-R. It'd be like Chevy releasing a 4 door Corvette-based family car (ok I guess that could be the CTS-V... and it's awesome... but still... )

I don't want to buy a GT-R, and then pull up next to a 4 door version of my supercar with a child seat in the back. If I'm going to spend 80 large to stand out and go fast... I'll be sure to do it in a car that pampered soccer moms won't be driving.
