So how fast are swapped CRX's?

Quick few questions for anyone who knows about swapped CRX's

    I'm talking B16 swapped and H22 swapped.

Also, is the H22 bolt in? Or is there any custom modifications needed? Can A/C be retained if swapping an H22?

    - Bolt in means buying motor mounts and bolting it in. Custom modifications means welding/bodywork to get the h in there.

And the B16, the same questions apply.

I just found a 126,xxx mile CRX for CHEAP.

just do a gsr swap on a crx. those are pretty quick.

my friend had a crx with an h22 swap. not really ideal because its hard to fit it in. plus turning on those suck.

There fast depending on the knowledge the person has, I have a friend with B20 crx and it pulls harder than h22 crx,he's about to vtec he's B20. In all honesty it depends on what you want to do,if you're dropping an H22 in it will take lil more work to fit,B16 and LS vtec swaps are more common as well as B20 and B20 vtecs which are easier to swap,if you a better bang for your buck with a crx do a B20 vtec with the high compression B20 and you are set.

Look up B16,B18, LS vtec, B20 and B20 vtec swaps on you and judge them for yourself, just remember it depends on how much knowledge you have.

I don't know if this will help any man but hopefully it does.

Also I read something about Place Racing selling mounts to bolt the h22 into the CRX.

          Yeah? GSR...huh..

How quick are we talking? I though H2B'd civics pull 12's.

Is the GSR bolt in, or do you need custom axles, mounts, ect ect?

I would just go for an H22 swap in a CRX.... because it does not cost more than a GSR swap (unless you buy overpriced/unnecessary parts) and you will have more displacement more horsepower and more torque out of the box. it is really not a hard swap, you can buy mounts that do not require any welding. It may have some extra vibration with an H22 but I mean who cares, a CRX is not a luxury car and plus it will be a low 13sec car before you even mod the engine.
I'd say with a good tune, it will be keeping up with stock vettes(not z06) no problem.

A b16 swap... eh it is fun I guess but not fast

The thing about crxs being so fast with so little power is weight. That extra weight in the back equates to a much higher percentage of the overall weight than it would in say, a cb. 100 lbs out of a 2000 lb car is a whole 5% reduction all by itself. 100 lbs out of our 3000 lb cbs is only 3%.

Lets give both cars 125 hp to start out with. The stock cb has 24 lbs for every asthmatic hamster under the hood. The crx only has 16 lbs for each of its hamsters. Drop a stock h22 into each and the power to weight ratios speak for themselves. The cb drops to 15 lbs/hp. A very nice improvement. The crx..only 10. Each horsepower only has to pull 10 lbs. Thats LS1 F body territory. Thats in CORVETTE territory.

tl;dr, delusions of grandeur, swapped crx = corvette

Hold on, what kind of corvette. C6, or C5?

                        IT does make a difference...

C5. Slap a medium size turbo on the motor, make 250 hp, and THEN the crx is in baseC6ville and C5Ztown.

All depends on what exact motor it is/what's been done, and of course the driver. There's all-motor D-series CRX's running 12s and 13s. Argument can go on for days.

And by c5, I mean 1958. A Corvette is a Corvette. Theyre all uber ridiculous ultra fast and driven by men with gigantic units anyway, so AT THE END OF THE DAY THE CRX STILL A HONDA LOL.SMILEYWAR
ps i fucking know the difference between a c5 base model wankers vette and a c6 daddys car.
